On the Sarine, Fribourg speaks two languages, and an ad shot here can come out in a French version and a German version on the same day. The City recorded 38,660 permanent residents in 2024, in its management report. Esekai, a Paris-based social media content studio, makes the trip to French-speaking Switzerland to film your UGC videos, your TikToks and your Meta creative ads in the Haute-Ville, the Basse-Ville or your own premises.
See our work38,660 inhabitants and two language audiences
According to the supplements to the City's 2024 management report, 38,660 people were resident in Fribourg in 2024, up from 37,653 a year earlier. Of these, 14,819 are foreign nationals. The language border runs very close by: the university offers its programmes in French, in German or in both languages. For a brand, this means a single shoot has to plan for two voices. We write the script in both languages, choose creators able to switch from one language to the other or cast two profiles, and we film the silent shots only once. On Meta, the French version targets Fribourg and the Glâne, the German version the Singine and the Lac. The cost of a second edit is low compared with a campaign that speaks to only half of its audience.
blueFACTORY, university and bilingual recruitment
According to its website, the blueFACTORY district is home to 54 companies, more than 650 jobs and 10 competence centres and clusters, across an area of 60,000 square metres. It presents itself as a low-carbon innovation district, focused on the housing of the future and energy management. It is a concrete playground for a start-up looking for its first B2B customers: a founder explaining their process in front of a prototype, a demo filmed in a workshop, a partner testimonial. The University of Fribourg also weighs heavily in the local economy, with some 10,000 students and more than 800 professors, lecturers and research staff, according to its presentation page. To recruit graduates, a video shot with young employees, in each person's own language, is more convincing than a job ad skimmed in passing.
Half-and-half fondue, Villars chocolate and Haute-Ville terraces
Fribourg Région promotes moitié-moitié fondue, made with Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP and Gruyère AOP, saffron cuchaule and Bénichon mustard. These are products that look good on screen: the steaming caquelon, the dipped bread, the sliced brioche. A restaurant in the old town is better off publishing a short Reel, shot at service time, than a photo of the menu. The Villars house, which claims a chocolate-making tradition since 1901, has a shop and tea room on route de la Fonderie, in its listed factory: for a food brand, this kind of place lends itself to tasting UGC, shot by a creator discovering the product. The chocolate makers, brasseries and markets listed by the tourist office offer just as many counters where you can film a gesture, a pack or a customer's reaction.
Saint-Nicolas Cathedral, the Bern Bridge and FIFF in March
The city, founded in 1157 by Duke Berthold IV of Zähringen, has more than 200 Gothic façades, 11 medieval fountains and 14 historic bridges, according to Fribourg Région. The tower of Saint-Nicolas Cathedral, 74 metres high, is climbed by 365 steps and is open from 1 March to 30 November. The funicular has linked the Haute-Ville and the Basse-Ville since 1899, with a counterweight powered by waste water: a twenty-second shot is enough to intrigue people on TikTok. The Bern Bridge, with its timber frame, and the ramparts, open to the public from 1 May to 1 November, complete the list of settings. On the calendar side, the Fribourg International Film Festival held its 40th edition from 20 to 29 March 2026 and will return from 12 to 21 March 2027. For a cultural brand, this is the week when the city fills with film buffs.
How we shoot in Fribourg
Esekai, founded by Tony Lo and having worked with more than 350 brands, sets off from its offices at 40 rue du Colisée in Paris, with compact equipment that travels without a truck. We sort everything remotely before leaving: script in both languages if needed, location scouting from plans and photos, permit requests to film in public space or in an establishment, casting of creators living in the canton. On site, a day can start with interviews in your offices, continue with product shots in a café on rue de Lausanne, then finish in the Basse-Ville, beside the Sarine, as the light drops on the façades. The funicular and the staircases make it possible to get from one level of the city to the other on foot. Editing is then done in Paris, with several hooks and subtitles per language, ready for Meta and TikTok.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
