Shooting, editing and publishing for brands in Toulouse

In Toulouse, a single day can start in the workshop of an aerospace subcontractor and end upstairs at the Victor-Hugo market, in front of a cassoulet. According to Insee, the commune had 514,819 inhabitants in 2023, and according to Toulouse Team, the metropolitan area recorded 5.2 million commercial overnight stays in 2025. Esekai, a Paris studio for social content founded by Tony Lo, which has supported more than 350 brands, makes the trip to film social ads, UGC testimonials and TikTok formats here. Here is what the city concretely offers a brand looking for a video agency in Toulouse.

A city that is growing, and renting

Insee's figures describe a city that gains inhabitants without sprawling: 514,819 residents in 2023, 4,351.8 inhabitants per km² and average growth of 1.2% a year between 2017 and 2023, more than half of it due to births exceeding deaths. Another telling figure: only 32.2% of Toulouse households own their main residence in 2023, against 57.5% in France. The audience is therefore mobile, often renting, often students (L'Étudiant ranked Toulouse the number one student city in France in 2025, TourMaG recalls). For a brand, this steers the casting and the message. An online bank, a telecoms operator, a flatshare app or a furniture retailer has every reason to shoot to-camera testimonials with Toulousains aged 20 to 30, in real brick apartments, then run them around the September return, when boxes are piled up in stairwells.

From Montaudran to Thibaud: aerospace and its subcontractors

In Haute-Garonne, the aeronautics and space sector employed 70,400 people in 2022, or 9.6% of the département's employment, according to an Insee study published in 2025. The same study shows that the manufacturers now employ only half of the sector's workforce: the other half works for subcontractors, design offices and service companies. That is where video has the most to offer. A supplier based at Toulouse Aerospace, on the Montaudran site, or in the Thibaud zone sells nothing to the general public, but it is looking for the same technicians and engineers as Airbus, Thales or CNES. A 45-second portrait shot in the workshop, where a fitter explains their craft, says more on LinkedIn or Instagram than an HR brochure. For a product launch presented at a trade show, we prepare short formats cut by use: demonstration, customer review, behind the scenes.

Victor-Hugo, chocolatine and the business clientele

Trade, transport and services account for 76.8% of the 19,612 employer establishments recorded at the end of 2024 in the commune by Insee. The Victor-Hugo market sums up this fabric well: butchers and cheesemongers on the ground floor, small tables upstairs, where a lunchtime service can be filmed as a Reel without staging anything. A Toulouse sausage grilling, a box of violets opened to camera, a customer ordering a chocolatine and stressing the word: these short shots work because they are immediately recognised as Toulousain. A TikTok agency in Toulouse has to know how to play with these codes without falling into postcard cliché. On the hotel side, Toulouse Team counted 5.2 million commercial overnight stays in 2025, 54% of them linked to business and 46% to leisure. A hotel in the centre therefore does well to produce two distinct series: a UGC video designed for the business traveller on a Tuesday, another for the couple extending their weekend.

Saint-Sernin, the brick quays and the Halle de la Machine

Light decides a lot of things here. At the end of the day, the pink brick of the quais de la Daurade and the Pont-Neuf turns orange, and that is the moment to aim for in a lifestyle Reel. The most visited sites also serve as instant visual landmarks: the basilica of Saint-Sernin received 974,300 visitors in 2025, the Cité de l'espace 394,200 and the Halle de la Machine, in Montaudran, 322,200, according to the Toulouse Team review. For the calendar, place du Capitole hosts the Fête de la Violette in February and the Christmas market at the end of the year, two very different settings on the same cobblestones. In summer, we avoid the full sun of early afternoon and shoot early in the morning in the streets of the Carmes or Saint-Cyprien districts, still quiet at that hour.

Matabiau, Blagnac and the Toulouse Filming office

We leave Paris the day before or on the first train in the morning, by train to Matabiau or by plane to Blagnac when the shoot starts near the industrial sites in the west of the conurbation. Preparation is done a few weeks beforehand: brief, script for each ad, casting of Toulouse creators, list of locations approved with you from photos. As soon as a setup occupies public space, we contact Toulouse Filming, the metropolitan filming office, which hosted 163 production crews for 353 shooting days in 2025 according to La Gazette du Midi. On site, the day often follows the same logic: the morning at your premises or workshop, the lunch hour devoted to product shots, the afternoon outdoors with the creators, the last hour of sun kept for the quays. The rushes then go to editing in Paris, adapted for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

Why?

Why creative ads deliver better results

An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.

Yes, provided the company obtains access from its security department. We send in advance the list of equipment, the names of the team and the breakdown of scenes, then film only the approved areas. Screens, part drawings and sensitive markings stay out of frame. If the workshop is closed to cameras, we switch to interviews in a meeting room and exterior shots on the site.

A creator filming themselves on a phone goes unnoticed. As soon as there is a tripod, lighting, extras or a passage to block, a request has to be planned, and we prepare it with Toulouse Filming. Watch the calendar too: the Fête de la Violette in February and the Christmas market take over place du Capitole, which completely changes the available frame.

Yes, it is even the rule when the video targets a local audience. As a UGC agency in Toulouse for the duration of the project, we cast locally: the accent, a well-pronounced chocolatine or a nod to the Stade Toulousain makes a testimonial credible in a few seconds. The student pool makes it easy to cast profiles aged 20 to 30. For a national campaign, we mix local creators with profiles from elsewhere.

A creative ads agency designs video ads built for social platforms: tested hooks, native 9:16 formats and data-driven iterations. At Esekai, every creative ad is produced in-house in Paris (script, shoot, edit), then adapted for TikTok Ads and Meta Ads to lower your acquisition costs.

Creative ads are structured advertising for paid media (TikTok Ads, Meta Ads). UGC videos mirror authentic creator content to build trust and convert. Organic content builds your social presence over the long term. The three are complementary.

We work on a six-month minimum. A video content strategy performs best over time: the first six months let us test, refine and optimise for durable, compounding results.
