In Lausanne, you film going up and going down: from the Cathedral to the port of Ouchy, the city tells its story in stairways, metro and terraces facing Lake Geneva. It is also the Olympic Capital, where the IOC has been based since 1915. According to the City's statistics, the commune has 151,284 inhabitants in 2025, 43% of them foreign nationals. Esekai, a Paris video studio, makes the trip to shoot UGC, Reels and TikTok and Meta creative ads with Lausanne brands.
See our workThe IOC, the federations and their service providers
Pierre de Coubertin chose Lausanne in 1915 to house the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee, and the IOC granted the City the status of Olympic Capital on 23 June 1994, Lausanne Tourisme reminds us. Since then, the institutions of international sport have gathered there. The companies that work with them (events, equipment, consulting) have a particular video need: their subject is not a product to sell in fifteen seconds but a specialised trade to explain to partners around the world. We shoot short formats for them subtitled in English, such as a project manager presenting their file in front of the lake, the behind-the-scenes of a congress or the testimonial of a partner athlete. On LinkedIn, a one-minute portrait circulates better than a PDF brochure. For a consumer sports brand, the Olympic Museum and its park on the shores of Lake Geneva provide a setting that everyone associates with the city.
131,223 jobs for 151,284 inhabitants
The City's figures describe a commune where people come to work almost as much as they live there: 131,223 jobs and 13,911 establishments recorded in 2024, for 151,284 inhabitants the following year. Healthcare alone carries a lot of weight, with 21,728 jobs in the commune. For a hospital, a clinic or a home-care network, employer-brand video becomes an everyday recruitment tool: a nurse describing her shift, a physiotherapist filmed during a session, published as Reels then relayed as Meta ads to healthcare staff in French-speaking Switzerland and neighbouring France. These figures have another consequence for a brand: the customers of a shop in the centre do not necessarily live in the commune. We set the delivery of creative ads to the area where your audience really lives and works, not just the commune's boundaries.
La Palud on Saturday morning, the Flon in the evening
On Wednesday and Saturday mornings, the country market sets up on place de la Palud and spreads into the neighbouring pedestrian streets, beneath the animated clock that comes to life every hour from 9am to 7pm. For a greengrocer, a cheesemonger or a caterer, it is the most natural UGC setting in the city: a creator doing her shopping, tasting, explaining what she is taking home. A few streets down, the Flon has turned its former warehouses into restaurants, bars, clubs, shops and cinemas, on an orthogonal plan that contrasts with the medieval town. Restaurateurs in the district find the raw material for service Reels there: the kitchen in the thick of the rush and the dining room filling up. On the place de l'Europe side, the Tour Bel-Air, presented as Switzerland's first skyscraper, and the Pont Bessières above rue du Flon offer two urban shots that Lausannois recognise in a second.
A million hotel nights, mostly for business
The commune's accommodation statistics count 1,012,842 overnight stays in Lausanne hotels in 2025, 57% of them by guests from abroad, with an average stay of 2 days. The same page indicates that business tourism accounts for 65% of visits. A hotel, bar or restaurant aimed at these travellers therefore has little time to get noticed during their stay. For these businesses, we shoot Reels in French and English centred on what a visitor in a hurry can experience in an evening: a dinner on a terrace, a drink with a view of the lake, a seminar room shown in a minute. For leisure, the quays of Ouchy, the boats leaving the landing stages and the terraced vineyards of Lavaux, east of the city, supply the weekend imagery to publish from the first fine days.
From the station to the Cité hill: how our day runs
We do not have an office in Lausanne: the team leaves Paris by train with its equipment and gets off at Lausanne station. Before departure, a call fixes the formats, the locations and the people to film, and we check with you whether shooting on public land requires authorisation from the City. The terrain is part of the preparation: between the station, the Flon and the Cité, you go from stairways to footbridges to metro cars, so we travel light. A typical Saturday starts at La Palud while the stalls are being set up, continues at midday in your restaurant or shop, and ends in the afternoon on the Cité hill or on the quays for exterior shots. As for the Cathedral, note that the rose window and its stained glass remain inaccessible until spring 2027, while the vaults of the south transept are renovated. Editing takes place in Paris, with online approvals.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
