In 1983, Bulle and La Tour-de-Trême had only 10,000 inhabitants between them; the merged municipality recorded 27,516 on 31 December 2025, according to the city, which sees it as one of the strongest growth rates in Switzerland. This chief town of Gruyère, 771 metres above sea level, has changed its face within a generation. Our crew comes from Paris to film UGC videos, TikTok formats and Meta ads aimed at a new, diverse population and a clientele attached to its local produce.
See our work127 nationalities in a country town
On 31 December 2025, the city had 27,353 resident persons and 27,516 inhabitants including temporary stays, of whom 12,200 were of foreign nationality, or 44.34% of the total population. It recorded 127 nationalities, the main communities coming from Portugal (4,803 people), France (1,850), Kosovo, Italy and Spain. For a brand, this is decisive data: the same ad does not reach everyone in the same way. A supermarket chain, telecom operator, bank or driving school is well advised to adapt its videos with creators from several communities, and sometimes in several languages, rather than relying on a single face. UGC testimonials shot in the neighbourhoods of Bulle and La Tour-de-Trême, with real residents, give a faithful picture of this city that describes itself as “a city in the countryside”.
Chocolate, cheese, wood and chemicals
The city states that the food industry linked to agriculture (chocolate, cheese, milk and cream) is the leading industrial sector, and that construction, metal construction, mechanical engineering, plastics, wood, pharmaceuticals and chemicals complete the picture. It points out that the arrival of the motorway in 1981 triggered this growth. For a cheese dairy or chocolatier, the most effective video shows the gesture: the wheel being turned, the milk curdling, the bar being unmoulded. For a construction, mechanical engineering or chemicals company, the need is often recruitment: portraits of employees filmed at their workstations, a one-minute presentation of a trade, distributed on LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. Woodworking craft, very present according to the city (joiners, cabinetmakers, carpenters, shingle-makers, sculptors), offers very strong images of craftsmanship for home and decoration brands.
Marchés folkloriques, Comptoir and Salon des Goûts
Every Thursday, from 2 July to 20 August 2026, the Marchés folkloriques enlivened the town centre from 8 am to 1 pm with more than 250 exhibitors, according to Fribourg Région: local produce, crafts, antique books and specialities. It is the most natural setting for a Reel by a producer or craftsperson, or for a tasting TikTok. In autumn, Espace Gruyère hosts the Comptoir gruérien, whose 12th edition Fribourg Région announces for 22 October to 1 November, and the same site cites the Salon suisse des Goûts et Terroir among the major events. For a regional SME, these fairs are an opportunity to shoot demonstrations on the stand and visitor reviews, then cut them into short formats. The Bénichon, the Fribourg festival celebrated for centuries with its nine-course menu, lends itself to content for restaurants and caterers.
Musée gruérien, the Prealps and mountain light
Fribourg Région presents Bulle as a gateway to the Prealps, between Lausanne and Fribourg-Bern, and cites the Musée gruérien among its flagship venues. The municipality covers 2,387 hectares, 498 of them forest according to the city, and the hills are never far away. This geography matters for a shoot: in a few minutes, you go from a shopping street to a landscape of pastures, which lets you build a video that links the product to its origin. For an outdoor clothing, mountain equipment or dairy brand, the Gruyère countryside is worth any studio. We favour morning and the end of the day, when the low light sketches out the relief, and we keep an indoor fallback plan, because the weather at mid-altitude changes fast.
From the shingle-maker’s workshop to the pastures
In Gruyère, we build the day around the gesture. Arriving the day before, we film the craftsperson, cheesemaker or chocolatier from opening time, at the moment the material is transformed: split wood, curdling milk, flowing cocoa. Municipal permits and owners’ agreements are settled beforehand, and we plan for the formalities of taking equipment into Switzerland. Casting is done in French-speaking Switzerland, taking care to reflect the faces of Bulle when the target is local. In the afternoon, the person behind the business talks about their trade. If the weather permits, we then head up to the pastures to link the product to its landscape. The subtitle languages, French, Portuguese or German, are decided at the writing stage.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
