In Ettelbruck, one and the same bakery can serve one customer in Luxembourgish in the morning, the next in Portuguese and a third in French. STATEC's 2021 census confirms it: Portuguese is the main language of 24.9% of residents, just behind Luxembourgish. The municipality had 10,149 residents in 2025. Esekai travels from Paris up to the north of the Grand Duchy to produce Instagram and TikTok ads, creator testimonials and Reels, adapted into each of these languages.
See our work10,149 residents, a municipality with two main languages
According to STATEC, Ettelbruck has grown from 1,681 residents in 1821 to 10,149 in 2025, up 1.8% over the year, and 47.9% of its residents do not hold Luxembourg nationality. The 2021 census fills in the picture: 25.7% of residents hold Portuguese nationality, compared with 14.5% in the country as a whole. Luxembourgish remains the main language of 49.5% of residents, Portuguese of 24.9%, French of 7.2%. For a local brand, the consequence is very concrete. An ad shot in a single language misses customers who live on the next street. So from the writing stage we plan several hooks recorded by different voices, or one Portuguese-speaking UGC creator and one Luxembourgish creator presenting the same product, and the delivery figures point to the winning version.
The Centre Hospitalier du Nord and public-service careers
The Centre Hospitalier du Nord has one of its two sites in Ettelbruck, on avenue Salentiny, the other being in Wiltz. It is not the town's only public employer: according to the 2021 census, public administration, defence, education, health and social work employ 33.3% of Ettelbruck residents who are in work. For these organisations, video primarily serves the employer brand and information. A hospital looking for cross-border or resident care staff does well to publish short portraits filmed in its departments, with subtitles in French and German. A school or an administration can explain a procedure in under a minute rather than in a brochure. On the private side, the agricultural-sector companies that exhibit in Ettelbruck every summer, machinery dealers or cooperatives, need product demonstrations filmed in the field, which can then be used on LinkedIn and in targeted advertising.
From the Patton museum to the three halls of the CAPE
Ettelbruck was liberated on 25 December 1944 by the US 80th Infantry Division, and the town has since honoured General Patton, who commanded the Third Army. The General Patton Memorial Museum, opened on 7 July 1995 and extended in 2014, spreads its exhibition over 650 m² and four floors, and a copy of the West Point statue of Patton has stood on Patton Square since 1970. For accommodation providers, restaurants and guides in the north of the country, this past attracts an audience interested in remembrance, often English-speaking, who plan their trip online: a Reel that links the square, the museum and a restaurant in the centre speaks directly to these visitors. The Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck, on place Marie-Adélaïde, offers classical concerts, jazz, theatre, cabaret and ballet in its three halls. A neighbouring restaurant can build a TikTok series around this programme, with dinner before the show.
The calendar, from the Foire agricole to the cultural season
The highlight of the year is the Foire agricole d'Ettelbruck, organised by the Town and presented as the largest open-air fair in Luxembourg. It welcomed 43,700 visitors in 2025 and was held from 3 to 5 July in 2026. For an exhibitor, it is the place to film in three days everything they will need for the rest of the year: machines in motion, customers giving testimonials in front of the stand, short demos for TikTok. You need to scout the pitches the day before and film from the moment the gates open. The rest of the time, the town is filmed differently. It sits at the confluence of the Alzette and the Sûre, at the gateway to the Éislek, which gives river and wooded-hillside shots a few minutes from the centre. The CAPE's programme offers stage and foyer settings for cultural content.
A shoot in Ettelbruck, from the station to the centre
From rue du Colisée in Paris, we reach Luxembourg by high-speed train, then take a regional train north to Ettelbruck station, a short walk from the centre. All the equipment travels with us, with no car. Before leaving, we agree with the brand on the languages of delivery, because they determine the casting: Luxembourgish, Portuguese-speaking or French-speaking creators, recruited in the region when relevant. We also check the permits for the target locations, in particular the museum, Patton Square or the fairground. The morning is for exteriors, early afternoon for testimonials and product at the client's premises, the end of the day for the banks of the Sûre. Back to Paris for editing: the method has already served more than 350 brands since Tony Lo created the agency.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
