Shooting, editing and publishing for brands in Differdange

In Differdange, ArcelorMittal's Grey mill rolls the Jumbos, which the group presents as the largest steel beams in the world, while graphic designers and musicians rent studios at the 1535° Creative Hub. According to STATEC, the commune had 30,789 inhabitants in 2025, 52.6% of them without Luxembourgish nationality. For a brand, that means thinking about your videos in several languages from the moment you write the script. Esekai, a Paris studio for creative ads and UGC, makes the trip to the Minett to film at your premises.

A third of residents hold Portuguese nationality

The 2021 census gives a precise picture of the commune. Of 28,532 residents counted, 32.1% hold Portuguese nationality, against 14.5% for the Grand Duchy as a whole. Portuguese is the main language of 33.5% of residents, Luxembourgish of 40.5%, and 41.4% of residents speak Portuguese at home. A retailer that runs only a French version of its Meta ads therefore leaves a big part of the town out. We write short scripts designed to be adapted into two or three languages, with creators who can switch between them on camera, and burned-in subtitles for sound-off viewing. The census also counts 13,177 residents in employment. Their main place of work is Luxembourg City (2,126 people), ahead of Differdange itself (1,722): an audience of commuters, reached on mobile in the morning and the evening.

From the Grey mill's Jumbos to the 1535° workshops

ArcelorMittal operates an electric steelworks and a rolling mill in Differdange, with more than 800 employees according to the group. The Grey mill produces the Jumbos, the giant beams used for One World Trade Center in New York and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. For an industrial company of this calibre, the useful video is shot at the foot of the machine: an operator describing their workstation in thirty seconds to attract candidates, a rolling shot for LinkedIn, a short format showing the real size of a piece next to a human silhouette. At the other end of the scale, the 1535° Creative Hub, launched by the Town, brings together almost 70 creative companies and more than 500 jobs across over 16,000 m². Its name refers to the melting point of iron. Design, music, publishing, architecture: these young companies often need a first series of launch videos, shot on their own premises.

Neighbourhood restaurants and the Train 1900

Business in Differdange lives off its residents more than its tourists, and that is what the videos should show. A restaurant serving a Portuguese-speaking clientele does well to publish Reels in which the owner presents the dish of the day in both languages, filmed during service rather than in an empty dining room. A shop in the centre can test UGC shot by a local resident, with recognisable streets behind her. Tourism happens on the edge of the commune: the Minett Park Fond-de-Gras, whose postal address is in Niederkorn, is home to the Train 1900, which volunteers have been running since 1973 between Pétange and the Fond-de-Gras, according to Visit Luxembourg. You will also find the Victor Binck grocery there, once located in Differdange. A steam locomotive in the morning mist is the kind of image that stops the thumb on TikTok, far more than a stock-photo visual for a hotel in the south of the country.

The château, Lasauvage and the red cliffs

Differdange château, a 15th-century building according to the American university that occupies it, houses the Miami University Dolibois European Center, which reports around 150 students per semester. Its park offers a calm backdrop for interviews with executives or portraits of staff, and the campus provides English-speaking profiles for a UGC casting. Further south, Lasauvage keeps the look of a mining village: the last mine closed there in 1978, and the old shower hall, with its hooks on the ceiling, tells the story of the miners' lives without a word of commentary. On the former mining land, the Prënzebierg Giele Botter nature reserve, rue Titelberg, offers wild slopes where vegetation has taken over again. These places are better filmed in low, raking light. In winter, the sun drops quickly behind the ridges of the Minett: we schedule the wide shots for early afternoon and keep the interiors for the end of the day.

From the Paris brief to the Luxembourg set

The team leaves from our offices at 40 rue du Colisée in Paris, with light equipment that fits in a car boot. Before travelling, we agree with you on the language of each version, the casting (Portuguese-, French- or Luxembourgish-speaking creators depending on the target) and the permissions, particularly on an industrial site where safety requires protective equipment and an escort. The typical day starts at the company with interviews and shots of the work itself, continues with lunch at a restaurant in the centre for atmosphere shots, then moves outdoors in the afternoon, to the château park or the former mines. The rushes then go to editing in Paris. Esekai, founded by Tony Lo, has worked with more than 350 brands and delivers every shoot in several formats, with several hooks to compare in advertising, whether for a TikTok campaign in Differdange or a rollout across the whole Grand Duchy.

Why?

Why creative ads deliver better results

An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.

Yes, and it is often a good idea: in the 2021 census, 41.4% of the commune's residents spoke Portuguese at home. We write a base script, then film each version with a creator who is comfortable in the language, rather than dubbing afterwards. The subtitles are adapted to each version, and you can run both in parallel to see which converts better.

The company remains in charge of the site: it sets the permitted areas, the hours and the safety rules. On our side, we send the list of equipment and people attending in advance, wear the required protective gear and work with a small team. The strongest shots are often the simplest: a repeated gesture, a piece coming off the line, a focused face.

Yes. For a UGC agency shooting in Differdange, the local pool is varied: Portuguese-speaking residents, French-speaking cross-border workers, English-speaking students from the campus based in the château. We organise the casting beforehand, on video, according to the age, language and tone you are looking for. When the brief allows, we pair a local creator with a profile from Paris to compare two styles.

A creative ads agency designs video ads built for social platforms: tested hooks, native 9:16 formats and data-driven iterations. At Esekai, every creative ad is produced in-house in Paris (script, shoot, edit), then adapted for TikTok Ads and Meta Ads to lower your acquisition costs.

Creative ads are structured advertising for paid media (TikTok Ads, Meta Ads). UGC videos mirror authentic creator content to build trust and convert. Organic content builds your social presence over the long term. The three are complementary.

We work on a six-month minimum. A video content strategy performs best over time: the first six months let us test, refine and optimise for durable, compounding results.
