In Luxembourg City, seven in ten residents are foreign nationals: 69.48% of the city's population on 31 December 2025, according to the City. A brand there is therefore speaking to a multilingual audience, made up of Kirchberg bankers, cross-border commuters and recently settled families. The city had 137,696 residents on that date, across 51.73 km². Shops, restaurants and companies in the capital entrust us with their UGC videos, TikToks and ads, written in Paris and then shot on location, in several languages if needed.

The figures published by the City of Luxembourg are clear: 137,696 residents on 31 December 2025, of whom 42,020 Luxembourgers (30.52%) and 95,676 foreign nationals (69.48%). This make-up changes everything for a local campaign. A single ad often has to exist in French, in English and sometimes in German or Portuguese, and the creators chosen must resemble the communities being targeted. We cast multilingual creators and shoot several versions of the hooks during the same session, which makes it possible to test languages without reshooting. The city's territory remains compact, 51.73 km² according to the City, but highly contrasted: the Ville Haute, the Gare district, Kirchberg and the valleys of the Grund or the Pétrusse have neither the same clientele nor the same image on screen.
Kirchberg, financial centre and European institutions
The Kirchberg plateau is the business district of Luxembourg's banking and financial centre, the city's tourist office reminds us, and one of the three seats of the institutions of the European Union. It is also home to the Mudam, designed by Ieoh Ming Pei, and the Philharmonie. For a bank, a firm or a services company recruiting internationally, employer brand video is a practical tool: an employee presenting their job in English in their office, then a sequence at the foot of the glass façades or on the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge, the "red bridge". These formats run on LinkedIn, but also on Instagram, where candidates look at life at work before applying. For a fintech or a B2B company, a one-minute subtitled product demo effectively supports a trade show or a campaign.
Over 1,100 shops and markets in four districts
The City lists more than 1,100 shops on its platform dedicated to the 24 districts, and its markets take place at the Gare, Bonnevoie-Sud, Kirchberg and the Ville Haute, with regional produce, cheeses, fish or roast chickens. On the second and fourth Saturdays, the Place d'Armes also hosts the flea market. For a food business, a stall filmed at opening time makes a simple, effective Reel. For a shop on the Grand-Rue or a restaurant in the Grund, a UGC video in which a creator walks through the Ville Haute and then settles on a terrace gives a warm image that the international clientele happily shares. Around Pentecost, the City points to the Mäertchen, a traditional 16-day market linked to the Octave, a religious festival in honour of the Virgin Mary, patron saint of the city.
Casemates, Corniche and Schueberfouer
The bastions and the historic centre of the old town have been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1994, and the Grund, at the bottom of the Alzette valley, is part of it. The Bock and Pétrusse casemates, underground galleries carved into the rock, offer a striking setting; the Chemin de la Corniche, which the writer Batty Weber called "the most beautiful balcony in Europe", gives a plunging view over the Grund. The calendar matters as much as the location. The Schueberfouer, founded in 1340 and held on the Glacis since 1893, is according to the tourist office the largest annual funfair in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. These late-summer weeks produce very lively images; to film the casemates or the Corniche without crowds, spring and autumn mornings are safer.
Gare de l'Est, border, shoot: how it all unfolds
We travel to Luxembourg by train from Gare de l'Est, with light equipment that moves easily within the Schengen area. The work starts remotely: objectives, scripts in the languages you need, casting of multilingual creators, list of locations, and a permit request to the City when a shot is filmed out on the street. For a company site in Kirchberg, we check in advance the access rules and what may appear on camera. On the day of the shoot, we film the Corniche and the Grund early, when the light slips into the valley, then the interiors and interviews in the middle of the day, and finish with the lines a UGC creator delivers to camera. We edit everything in Paris in the following days, with one version per language and per platform, ready to publish.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
