Pessac strikes more than a billion coins a year at the Monnaie de Paris factory, produces a first growth from the 1855 classification and is home to a Le Corbusier neighbourhood on the UNESCO list. Few communes of 67,339 residents (Insee, 2023) offer a camera so many different settings. Esekai, which produces creative ads, UGC videos and TikTok content in Paris, makes the trip to the Gironde to film these brands on their own turf, with no rented studio, using creators recruited in the Bordeaux metropolitan area.

Insee counts 67,339 residents in Pessac in 2023, against 59,223 in 2012 and 36,986 in 1968: the commune has gained more than 30,000 residents in fifty-five years. Part of this audience is made up of students, as the Bordeaux university campus extends across the commune and renews its population every September. For a TikTok agency, this profile changes the casting as much as the targeting. A fast-food chain, a climbing gym or a flatshare app will find creators here the same age as its customers, able to shoot in a student residence or at a tram line B stop. Families in the residential neighbourhoods make up the other part of the market, more attentive to local shop videos. Pessac belongs to Bordeaux Métropole: a Meta campaign can target the commune alone or extend to Talence and Mérignac when the point of sale draws beyond it. We set this radius at the brief stage.
The Monnaie, Bersol and the Route des Lasers
The Monnaie de Paris factory entered service in Pessac on 1 September 1973, after Valéry Giscard d'Estaing chose the commune in 1965. It strikes more than a billion coins a year, half of them euros and half foreign currencies, and had produced 57 billion coins since 1973 when it celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. A site like this calls for employer brand content filmed near the presses, in compliance with safety rules, or short formats on a rare trade. Around it, the Bersol area is changing: Bordeaux Métropole announces €190 million of public investment in the operation covering Grand-Bersol, l'Alouette and the Bioparc, with 13.5 hectares of priority sites available by mid-2027 and the Amperis technology park run by the SEML Route des Lasers. For an SME moving in, a LinkedIn series from construction site to move-in day tells the company's story better than a brochure.
Haut-Brion, Pape-Clément and the tables of the centre
Two classified growths of the Pessac-Léognan appellation are located in Pessac: Château Haut-Brion, a first growth in the 1855 classification, and Château Pape-Clément, a classified growth of Graves. According to the appellation's trade association, Pessac-Léognan alone brings together all 14 classified growths of Graves. For an estate, a wine merchant or a restaurant serving these bottles, the useful video is not necessarily a luxury film: a forty-second Reel on a tasting, a sommelier presenting a vintage at the counter, a visitor's UGC booking a cellar tour. All of it is shot within the framework of the Loi Évin, which regulates alcohol advertising. As for local shops, the boutiques and restaurants of the centre mainly target families and students from the metropolitan area, which points towards simple TikTok formats: first-reaction reviews, behind the scenes of an opening, a dish filmed as it leaves the kitchen.
The façades of the Cité Frugès and the November festival
The Cité Frugès remains Pessac's most distinctive setting. Commissioned by the industrialist Henri Frugès and designed by Le Corbusier between 1924 and 1926, it lines up 50 houses with flat roofs and blue, yellow or ochre façades. UNESCO listed it in 2016, as part of a group of 17 sites by the architect spread across seven countries. It is a lived-in neighbourhood: we film light, from public space, without setting up in front of a door. These bold colours suit design, furniture or fashion brands that want a recognisable backdrop without falling into postcard territory. The calendar matters too. Since 1990, the Festival international du film d'histoire has taken over the commune; its 35th edition was held from 18 to 23 November 2025, with 30 previews announced. For a bar or brasserie near the cinemas, it is a week to build into the content schedule.
From Saint-Jean station to the Bersol offices
Our team takes the train from Paris to Bordeaux Saint-Jean, then reaches Pessac by TER or tram, with equipment that fits in two suitcases. Everything is prepared before the trip, remotely: photos of the locations, plan for the day, permissions for the Cité Frugès or an industrial site, casting of creators who live between Pessac, Talence and Bordeaux. On location, a day can start in a wine cellar at the hour when light comes in through the doors, continue at lunch in a restaurant in the centre of Pessac, then end in the offices of a Bersol company for interviews. Each scene is played with different openings, so that the edit, done in Paris, delivers variants to test on Meta and TikTok. Esekai has no permanent team in the Gironde: it is the local casting that gives the video the accent and places that the audience recognises.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
