In Mérignac there are almost as many jobs as residents, and the town devoted an entire event to the employer brand of its businesses. That says a lot about the municipality that is home to Bordeaux airport: 78,090 residents in 2023 according to Insee, 63,949 jobs, and a population growing by 1.8% a year since 2017. We prepare your shoots in Paris and come to film UGC content, TikToks and recruitment videos on site for Mérignac businesses, shops and restaurants.
See our work1.8% annual growth, and families moving in
Insee's figures leave no doubt about the trend: 78,090 residents in 2023 and an average annual change of 1.8% between 2017 and 2023, driven both by births (0.4 points) and by new arrivals (1.5 points). A town that gains families every year has very concrete needs: new schools, new neighbourhood shops, new consumer habits. For a brand, that means an audience that is still getting to know its surroundings and looks for its go-to places on Instagram and Google. An introductory video showing the shop, the car park and the neighbourhood is a real service to these newcomers. With 1,621.1 residents per km², Mérignac is also still a town of houses and parks where people get around by car: hooks that talk about easy parking or late opening hours work well.
63,949 jobs and a community that talks employer brand
Insee counted 63,949 jobs in the town in 2023 and 3,670 employer establishments at the end of 2024. Businesses with 1 to 9 employees make up only 63% of establishments: 29% employ at least ten people, with regular recruitment needs. The town runs the Mérignac Terre d'Emploi community, launched in November 2022 for companies, training organisations and referrers, with themed breakfast meetings, one of which was devoted to the question "how to make your company known and showcase its value". In a town where employers compete for the same profiles, the recruitment video becomes a working tool. We shoot portraits of employees at their workstations, site tours led by a manager, and short subtitled formats for LinkedIn, Instagram and careers pages.
Place Charles-de-Gaulle, Arlac, Mondésir: the markets to film
The town-centre market, created 37 years ago according to the town council, is the oldest and busiest in the municipality: around a hundred traders gather every week on Place Charles-de-Gaulle, on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, with tasting tables set up in the shade of the trees. On Saturday mornings, the Arlac market brings together 18 traders on Place Sainte-Bernadette, including two producers and a cannelé stall. On Sundays, the Mondésir market mixes oysters, free-range chicken, couscous and samosas. For a food business, these mornings provide a ready-made setting for a Reel: the product, the gesture, the chat with a regular. For a restaurant, a UGC creator who tastes oysters at the market table and then heads to the lunchtime terrace tells the story of a day in Mérignac in thirty seconds.
Bourran, the Vivier and the Maison Carrée d'Arlac
Mérignac has more parks than you might imagine: about fifteen, 8 of them eco-labelled according to the town council. The Parc du Vivier, which houses the Town Hall in an 18th-century chartreuse, covers ten hectares where peacocks roam freely, a distinctive setting for a fashion or wellness brand. The Bois du Burck, 38 hectares of fitness trails and sports grounds, suits sports and running brands. The botanical reserve of Parc de Bourran is a listed historic monument, and the Maison Carrée d'Arlac, a neoclassical folly listed since 1963, offers an unexpected façade in the middle of town. These public places are filmed on weekdays, early in the morning, when they are quiet. Spring and summer give the most beautiful light under the trees, autumn warmer colours.
Arriving by airport or Saint-Jean station, then shooting
Depending on the project, we reach Mérignac by plane to Bordeaux airport, which is located in the municipality, or by train to Bordeaux Saint-Jean and then by road. The shoot is planned beforehand: objectives, scripts, hooks to test, creator profiles, list of locations, and permits if a scene is shot in a park or on public space. For a company site, we obtain the safety rules and no-filming zones in advance. A typical day starts at the market or in the shop, continues at your premises for employee interviews, then ends outdoors in a park or shopping street, with a UGC creator filmed to camera. Editing takes place in our offices in Paris's 8th arrondissement, adapting each video for the different networks.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
