"I am from Agen, through the Agen fifteen": the town gladly quotes Michel Serres to say what rugby means here, alongside the Garonne and the prune. Agen has 32,801 inhabitants in 2023 according to Insee, at the centre of a conurbation whose catchment area exceeds 100,000 people, between Bordeaux and Toulouse. Our team leaves Paris to film UGC testimonials, TikTok formats and social ads that speak the language of these three totems, without falling into picture-postcard clichés.

According to the Town, the prune comes from drying the Ente plum, has benefited since 2002 from a protected geographical indication under the name "Pruneau d'Agen", and its industry brings together nearly 1,600 producers around the Bureau national interprofessionnel du pruneau. For a producer, a confectioner or a local-produce brand, it is a complete visual subject: the orchard at harvest time, the drying oven, the stuffed fruit cut in two to camera. A UGC video in which a customer tastes a stuffed prune and reacts spontaneously works well as a Meta ad in the run-up to the festive season, when gift boxes sell. For employer branding, the harvest and processing seasons offer authentic work scenes, useful for recruiting seasonal workers or production operators without resorting to a dry job ad.
The SUA, the Armandie Stadium and the Culture of the Fifteen
Sporting Union Agen Lot-et-Garonne has 8 French championship titles according to the Town, and internationals such as Philippe Sella, Daniel Dubroca and Abdelatif Benazzi came out of it. The Armandie Stadium is named after Alfred Armandie, who discovered rugby at the very start of the twentieth century according to the Town, and it remains a place of fervour. For a local brand, this shared culture is a powerful shortcut: a bar that shows the matches, a bakery that prepares special batches on match days, a gym that is recruiting. A TikTok shot on match day, with a supporter creator, speaks immediately to locals. We do, however, avoid using logos, official shirts or images of the stadium without the club's agreement: the video should evoke the atmosphere without appropriating a brand that is not yours.
A Pedestrian Centre Redesigned Since 2008
The Town explains that with the Agen Cœur Battant operation, launched in 2008, the boulevard de la République was pedestrianised as far as place Castex, rue des Cornières was renovated and boulevard Carnot was improved. Agen was also selected for the national Action Cœur de Ville plan, with an agreement signed on 12 September 2018. This redone town centre offers clean, bright settings for shops. Insee records 1,622 employer establishments in the town at the end of 2024, of which 74.6% are in trade, transport and services and 71.1% have 1 to 9 employees. These are therefore mostly shops, cafés and local services. For them, a Reel shot at the shopfront, then inside with the shopkeeper to camera, suits better than a polished spot. A series of three or four short videos, published over a month, sustains the local presence.
Canal Bridge, Garonne Banks and Greenway
Built between 1839 and 1843, the Agen canal bridge is 540 metres long, or 580 with the junction areas, and has 23 arches with a 20-metre span, according to the tourist office, which presents it as the second longest in France. This spectacular setting, where a boat passes over the river, catches the eye in a TikTok feed. Along the Canal des Deux Mers, a greenway can be followed on foot, by bike or on roller skates, and the terraces on the banks suit Reels for cafés or boat hire. The Town also recalls that since 2009, a project to develop the banks of the Garonne, as part of the Agen Garonne urban river nature park, has aimed to bring the river closer to residents. We shoot these exteriors at the end of the day, when the low light picks out the arches and the brick.
Orchards, Shop and Canal Bridge Arches
Agen is halfway between Bordeaux and Toulouse, the Agglomération reminds us, and we arrive from Paris the day before to make the most of the morning. Depending on the season, the day starts in the orchard or at the drying stage, where the prune takes shape, then moves to the shop or restaurant in the centre when the first customers arrive. The location scouting and shot list have been validated with you on photos; the creators, recruited in Lot-et-Garonne, know a real Pruneau d'Agen when they see one. Interviews are done in the shade, after lunch. We keep the last light for the canal bridge, filmed from the greenway. On our return, the same footage is adapted into an ad version, an organic version and a recruitment version if the company is hiring.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
