Between the quays of the Légué and a bay that has been a nature reserve since 1998, Saint-Brieuc changes light with every tide, which makes it a rare setting for anyone shooting short-form video. The town had 44,607 inhabitants in 2022 according to Insee. Esekai, which works from Paris, takes the train to the prefecture of the Côtes-d'Armor to film TikTok content, UGC videos and Meta ads with local businesses, shops and restaurants.
See our workWhat Insee's figures say
The commune lost a little population between 2016 and 2022 (0.1% a year on average), but it concentrates far more activity than inhabitants: Insee records 27,288 jobs there in 2023 for 44,607 residents. Saint-Brieuc therefore draws in many employees every day who live elsewhere. For a brand, the audience to target doesn't stop at the town limits: a geotargeted ad is best off covering the whole employment area, and the message has to speak to people who know the centre from working there, not necessarily from living there. 15 to 29-year-olds make up 21.0% of residents in 2022. This is the audience for phone-shot TikTok formats, with a creator who talks like them, rather than polished clips designed for television.
3,839 establishments and an agri-food hub
The commune has 3,839 active establishments at the end of 2024 according to Insee, 23.8% of them in trade, transport, accommodation and food service, and 729 businesses were created there in 2025. In neighbouring Ploufragan, the Zoopôle works on innovation in the farming and agri-food sectors. These companies have very identifiable video needs: recruiting technicians and operators in a tight market, showing buyers a clean and well-controlled processing line, explaining in one minute a process that the general public never sees. We film these subjects in real conditions, hard hat and overalls included, with employees who agree to give testimonials. For the 729 young companies of 2025, a series of talking-head videos by the founder is often enough to launch the first campaigns.
Town-centre shops, the port and tables on the bay
Nearly a quarter of Saint-Brieuc's establishments are in trade, transport, accommodation or food service: shops on the pedestrian streets, cafés, seafood restaurants. For them, the most effective Reel shows what the customer really experiences: the seafood platter set down on the table, the morning shop window, the owner explaining where their fish comes from. The port du Légué, with its quays and shipowners' houses, provides a backdrop that people in Saint-Brieuc recognise at once. On the accommodation side, Insee counts 8 hotels and 341 rooms in the commune on 1 January 2026. A tight supply, where every establishment has an interest in differentiating itself online: a short UGC video shot by a guest, from reception to the view from the room, is more reassuring than a slideshow of photos.
Art Rock at Whitsun, the bay from April to October
The Art Rock festival takes over the town centre every Whitsun weekend, 22 to 24 May in 2026, with stages at the halle on place Poulain Corbion, at the Grand Théâtre and at the Forum according to Tourisme Bretagne. For a bar or a shop on the square, this is the weekend when an atmosphere video finds the most echo. The other setting is the bay. The GR34 path starts at the Légué and runs along the pointe de Cesson and the reserve's tidal flats as far as the Maison de la Baie at Hillion: sixteen kilometres that Tourisme Bretagne recommends from April to October. Along the way, the reserve's flats serve as an observatory: Tourisme Bretagne reports 112 bird species there. For an outdoor clothing brand or accommodation, a few shots taken at low tide are enough to place the video in northern Brittany.
Organising the shoot from Paris
Tourisme Bretagne gives 2 hours 20 minutes by high-speed line from Paris: the Esekai team, founded by Tony Lo and with more than 350 brands supported from 40 rue du Colisée, can therefore shoot a full day with no overnight stay when the schedule is tight. Before leaving, we fix the script, the shot list and the tide times if the bay is part of the setting, because the sea goes out a long way and changes the landscape entirely. A typical day starts at your premises for the interviews, continues with lunch in a restaurant in the centre or at the port, then ends on the quays of the Légué or at the pointe de Cesson for exterior shots. The edit is done in Paris, in several versions and several hooks to compare in paid ads.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
