In the workshops of Locmaria in Quimper, the first-name bowl invented in the 1930s is still painted freehand. With 64,385 inhabitants at the 2023 Insee census, the town sells its know-how well beyond Brittany, from faïence to marine-style textiles. Esekai travels across France from its Paris offices to film on site the creative ads, UGC videos, Reels and TikTok content of these brands, their shops and their restaurants.
See our workLocmaria, faïence since 1690
The tourist office dates the arrival of Jean-Baptiste Bousquet near the Locmaria priory, the starting point of Quimper faïence, to 1690. In the early 20th century, two houses face each other, HB and Henriot, and exhibit successfully at the 1925 Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs. Today, Henriot-Quimper, certified as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company), makes everything by hand, place Bérardier, and opens its workshops to visitors from April to September. For a craft brand, the most effective video shows the gesture: the brush tracing a pattern, the piece coming out of the kiln, the first name painted on a bowl ordered online. These very tight shots work in Meta ads as well as in TikTok content, and can be adapted into behind-the-scenes content for an online shop or a longer film for a trade show.
Armor-Lux and a prefecture's employment area
Founded in 1938, Armor-Lux employs 550 people in its group, 400 of them at the Quimper headquarters, according to the tourist office page devoted to it. According to Insee, the commune offers 46,435 jobs in 2023 for 27,108 employed residents, giving a job concentration indicator of 171.3: every day, employees from all over Cornouaille come to work in Quimper. Industry accounts for 10.1% of jobs, a notable weight for a prefecture. There were 7,289 active establishments in 2024 and 921 businesses created in 2025. For these employers, video needs are similar: recruiting seamstresses, technicians or sales staff by showing the real workshop, presenting a product to buyers, telling the story of a Breton brand to customers across France. A factory shoot is prepared with the safety manager, shift times included.
Halles Saint-François and the Saturday market
Opened in 1847 on the site of the former Saint-François convent, the Halles are the town's only covered market, with local produce and food counters on site. Every Saturday, the big market spreads along the Steïr and around the building. For a producer or a crêpe maker, these places make easily recognisable Reels: the morning stall, the galette being flipped, the customer leaving with their bag. According to Insee, 1,750 establishments active in 2024, 24% of the total, are in trade, transport, accommodation or food services, and 18 hotels offer 833 rooms in early 2026. A hotel in the centre does well to film the stay from the traveller's point of view, from the station platform to the room, with the cathedral in the background. UGC pieces shot by real customers are particularly convincing for visitors planning a stay in Cornouaille.
Saint-Corentin, the Odet and the Festival de Cornouaille
Quimper holds the Ville d'Art et d'Histoire label. In 1239, Bishop Reynaud decided to build Saint-Corentin cathedral on the foundations of a Romanesque church, next to the bishops' palace, which now houses the Musée départemental breton. Around it, the half-timbered houses, the ramparts and the 19th-century footbridges over the Odet make up instantly identifiable settings. The high point of the year remains the Festival de Cornouaille, held from 23 to 26 July in 2026: its organisers trace its origin back to a charity fête in 1922, which became the Fête des Reines the following year. For fashion, drinks or tourism, this is the time for content captured on the spot, costumes and music in the streets. The rest of the year, the quays at dawn and the lanes of the walled town are enough to set a Breton mood.
Organising a shoot in Quimper
Quimper is at the end of the train line from Paris: we arrive with light equipment and get around on foot in the old centre. The work starts before departure, remotely: script, shot list, agreement from workshops or shops, and casting of Breton creators if the story needs to sound Finistère. A typical day starts at the Halles Saint-François, when the stalls are ready. The morning continues in a workshop or factory, for the gestures and interviews. After lunch in a crêperie, we film the product scenes in the shop, then the town shots on the Odet quays and in front of Saint-Corentin at the end of the day. Then it is back to 40 rue du Colisée, where the team put together by Tony Lo, which has served more than 350 brands, cuts each film into several possible openings before release.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
