Two stilt walkers jostling on a cobbled square in September, a citadel riddled with galleries above the confluence of the Sambre and the Meuse: Namur has imagery that nobody would mistake for any other city. The Walloon capital had 117,314 registered inhabitants on 1 September 2026, according to the National Register. We travel across the border from Paris to shoot creative ads, UGC videos and TikTok content with Namur's shops, institutions and businesses.
See our work117,314 Namurois and a regional capital
The National Register table published by the FPS Interior puts Namur at 117,314 registered inhabitants on 1 September 2026: the population of a human-sized regional capital. For a brand, that figure covers very different audiences: families settled in the municipality's merged villages, civil servants who come into town to work each morning, students housed near the centre. A single ad cannot speak to all of them. So we shoot several openings for the same film, each designed for one of these audiences, then let Meta or TikTok delivery tell us which one works. Fine geographic targeting has its value here too: a shop in Jambes, on the right bank of the Meuse, does not necessarily have the same customers as a business in the historic centre, and the video works better when it shows the street the viewer recognises.
Parlement de Wallonie, Élysette and the UNamur campus
Namur is home to the Parlement de Wallonie and, in Jambes, the Élysette, seat of the Walloon government. Around them gravitate administrations, trade federations, consulting firms and public bodies: employers who recruit qualified profiles and need sober, credible videos, often bilingual for LinkedIn. The Université de Namur, founded by the Jesuits in 1831, has, by its own figures, 7,553 students in 2025-2026, including 1,521 international students of 83 nationalities, along with 287 professors and 765 researchers. For a start-up spun out of a laboratory or an SME that wants to attract young graduates, we film a researcher explaining their project in forty seconds, a team in its offices, a founder talking to camera. These are simple formats, shot on site in a morning, that serve both recruitment and presenting the company to partners.
From the Houppe to the Jambes quays
Namur's food and drink scene lends itself well to short video. In the La Plante district, along the Meuse, the Brasserie Artisanale de Namur, on avenue de la Plante, brews the Houppe and the Jambes en l'air, and Namur Tourisme offers guided visits there. For a brewery, bar or restaurant, the Reel that works shows the gesture rather than the product sitting still: the foam rising, the waiter crossing a terrace, the kitchen in the thick of service. The shops of the pedestrian centre, between the station and the Saint-Aubain cathedral, suit UGC filmed by a customer doing her round of boutiques. On the tourism side, weekend visitors look for the activity before they book: a tour of the underground galleries, a boat trip on the Meuse, a cable-car ride. A TikTok agency in Namur has to film these experiences from the visitor's point of view, not like a postcard.
The citadel, the galleries and September on stilts
The citadel overlooks the confluence and offers, from its ramparts, the most recognisable panorama of the city. Beneath it, Namur Tourisme lets visitors discover 500 metres of restored galleries, the tunnels said to have earned the stronghold Napoleon's nickname of the "termite mound of Europe". For a shoot, these vaulted corridors give an immediate atmosphere, provided you plan some light supplementary lighting. The calendar matters as much as the location. In September, the Fêtes de Wallonie fill the centre and bring back the stilt-walking jousts, an old Namur tradition: it is the moment to capture a city celebrating, but not the one to organise a calm product session. We recommend shooting the brand footage a few weeks beforehand, then returning with a light crew during the festivities for atmosphere shots. In spring, the Meuse quays and the citadel gardens offer soft light at the end of the day.
Paris, Brussels, Namur: how a shoot is organised
From our offices at 40 rue du Colisée in Paris, the team travels to Namur by train via Brussels, with equipment that fits in suitcases. Namur station is a few minutes' walk from the centre, so we can move from location to location without a vehicle. Beforehand, we validate the script with you remotely, request the necessary permissions (some heritage or institutional sites require a written request) and, if the brief calls for it, organise a casting of French-speaking Belgian creators. A typical day starts with indoor interviews, moves on to a restaurant or shop at its busiest, then finishes outdoors, on the ramparts or by the Meuse as the light drops. Editing then takes place in Paris. Esekai, founded by Tony Lo, has supported more than 350 brands with this method: one day of shooting, several formats, several hooks tested as ads.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
