Arlon describes itself as one of the three oldest towns in Belgium, and it is also the capital of the province of Luxembourg, right against the border with the Grand Duchy. IWEPS counts 31,440 inhabitants there on 1 January 2026, 23.59% of them non-Belgian. Our UGC, TikTok and advertising shoots take place after a journey from Paris, equipment cases in hand, in Arlon's streets, shops and workshops.
See our work31,440 people in Arlon and a very international audience
On IWEPS's municipal profile, Arlon shows 31,440 inhabitants on 1 January 2026 over 119.1 km², with an average age of 40.7. The figure that really matters to an advertiser lies elsewhere: 18.66% of residents are nationals of another European Union country and 4.93% come from a country outside the Union. A video ad shown in Arlon therefore reaches, in a single street, Belgians and residents from many other countries. In practice, we often plan two or three versions of the same ad: French subtitles by default, a variant in another language if the target justifies it, and varied faces in the casting. A Meta ad that shows only one profile misses a good part of the town.
Weyler, Schoppach and the Pietro Ferrero street industrial estate
The town lists four economic activity zones on its territory. The industrial estate on rue Pietro Ferrero, managed by IDELUX, covers 14.82 hectares for industry, storage and distribution. The Weyler craft estate, 28.08 hectares, hosts craftspeople, services, research and light industry. The Schoppach mixed zone, alongside the E411 and the N82, spreads over 29 hectares, and the Sterpenich zone over 8.33 hectares. On employment, IWEPS records for 2023 an administrative employment rate of 62.0% and an administrative unemployment rate of 10.6%. For a Weyler company looking for technicians, a short format shot in the workshop, in which a technician shows their workstation, circulates on Facebook and TikTok as far as profiles in the province and the Grand Duchy.
Thursday market, organic market and old Arlon flea market
Arlon's trade has its fixed appointments. The town announces a weekly market every Thursday in the town centre, an organic market every Friday on place Léopold, and the old Arlon flea market on the first Sunday of every month, from March to October. These are three very different settings for a food brand or a shopkeeper: the Thursday stall for a market gardener's Reel, organic produce for a smartphone-shot tasting UGC, second-hand finds for a decoration TikTok. A restaurant or brasserie in the centre can also make the most of the Thursday lunchtime flow to shoot a sequence in a full dining room, which makes the video more credible than a service filmed empty. Timing the date around these events fills the frame with real passers-by, with no need to cast extras.
The 144 steps of the Belvédère and the Maitrank festivities
The Belvédère, built between 1905 and 1907 and opened in 1908, is climbed by 144 steps and opens onto a 360-degree panorama over the town according to the tourist office; it opens at weekends from May to September and every day in July and August. It would be hard to find a better foreground for an Arlon corporate film. Around it, the Saint-Donat site, the Roman towers, the Saint-Martin church and the Archaeological Museum provide very recognisable stone backdrops. The spring highlight remains the Maitrank: the RTBF traces the festival back to 1955, notes that the Maitrank fountain dates from 1963 and cites nearly 30,000 people every year. Brewers, wine merchants and bars have their window here to film terrace UGC, provided they book their spot early.
From the Belvédère to Weyler, a day of shooting
The work begins far from Arlon: script approved by video call, shot list, location scouting and selection of creators from Arlon or neighbouring villages. The crew then reaches the town by motorway or rail; when the brand also has a presence in the Grand Duchy, a second shooting day on the Luxembourg side is easily added to the trip. On site, the morning is devoted to the market or a shop, the afternoon to a workshop in Weyler or Schoppach, then, on opening days, the fading light is captured from the top of the Belvédère. In Paris, the edit produces several competing video openings for each message, which the brand then settles in paid distribution. Created by Tony Lo, Esekai has worked this way for more than 350 brands.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
