Shooting, editing and publishing for brands in Hyères

Few French communes fit within their boundaries a car-free island, a salt lagoon where flamingos nest and a modernist villa that has hosted a fashion festival every autumn since 1985. Hyères has 55,858 inhabitants in 2023 according to Insee, but its real population changes character between February and August. For campsites, wine estates and shops in the old town, we come down from Paris with a small crew that films UGC, Meta ads and TikTok formats on site.

4,020 campsite pitches, a seasonal economy

On 1 January 2026, Insee counts in Hyères 21 campsites and 4,020 pitches, against 36 hotels and 1,192 rooms, plus 17 tourist residences, holiday villages and hostels for 6,227 beds. The ratio is telling: here, a stay is more often spent under canvas or in a mobile home than in a hotel. A four-star campsite therefore needs videos that show the pool, the shaded path and the beach within walking distance, filmed in June when the light is beautiful and the places are still free, then run as Meta ads from January, when families book. Shops, carriers, hotels and restaurants account for 1,803 of the 7,317 active establishments Insee counts in 2024, almost one in four (24.6%). These businesses also recruit seasonal workers every spring: a TikTok shot with last year's team helps find next year's.

Villa Noailles, Design Parade and the fashion festival

On the heights of the old town, about a twenty-minute walk away, the villa built by Robert Mallet-Stevens for Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles has become an art centre of national interest. The Provence Méditerranée tourist office points out that its fashion festival brings young designers together every October, since 1985, in front of professionals and international journalists, with a show of ten competing designers in the Mouture hangar, at the Pesquiers salt pans. In late June, the Design Parade does the same for design and interior architecture, between Hyères and Toulon. For a fashion or home décor brand, these two events attract exactly the audience being sought: buyers, specialist press, content creators. A making-of, an interview with an exhibited designer or a series of Reels about the Cubist garden designed in 1925 by Gabriel Guévrékian find a unique setting here.

Salins des Pesquiers, Almanarre and the Giens tombolo

The Pesquiers lagoon extends over nearly 550 hectares, more than half of it salt marsh, worked until 1995 by the Compagnie des Salins du Midi, which produced up to 30,000 tonnes of salt a year there. The tourist office points out more than 200 bird species and 300 plant varieties. It is a rare setting for a cosmetics or food brand that talks about salt, nature or light. Next door, the Almanarre beach is a renowned kitesurfing spot, and the Madrague lends itself to kayaking: a water sports brand films creators in action there, in the morning when the wind picks up. From 1 July to 31 August, a free little train links the Almanarre to the village of Giens every 30 minutes, a useful detail for planning the movements of a crew without a car.

Porquerolles, a fifteen-minute crossing

From the tour Fondue, at the tip of the Giens peninsula, the TLV-TVM company runs services all year round to Porquerolles, taking 15 minutes according to the tourist office. In summer, booking tickets in advance is recommended. For a shoot, this constraint changes everything: the equipment has to fit in bags, the crew moves around the island on foot or by bike, and the beach shots are done before the morning boats arrive. A bike rental firm, a village restaurant or a wine estate on the island does well to show what the visitor sees stepping off the boat: the square, the harbour, the track leading to the beach. In UGC format, a creator telling her day on the island, from the first coffee to the last boat, gets shared far more than a corporate video.

A Hyères shoot, from Port Saint-Pierre to the medieval alleys

We set the schedule according to the season: in July and August, the roads to Giens fill up and every journey takes longer. The crew reaches Hyères from Paris by train to Toulon or to Hyères station depending on timetables, then works with a hire car. Before the day itself, the script, shot breakdown and choice of Var-based creators are finalised by video call, and permits are requested for public space. A typical day might start at Port Saint-Pierre with the boats coming back in, move to your premises in late morning, then climb the alleys of the old town in the afternoon for the UGC sequences. With 30.9% of residents aged 65 or over in 2023 according to Insee, a local brand often plans a Facebook version in addition to the TikTok edit.

Why?

Why creative ads deliver better results

An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.

Late May and June are often the best months: the facilities are ready, the vegetation is green, the light is crisp and holidaymakers are not everywhere yet. Videos shot at this time serve the whole following season, since families book their summer holidays months ahead, often after seeing an ad on Instagram or Facebook.

Yes, by staying on paths open to the public and respecting the wildlife: the salt pans host more than 200 bird species according to the tourist office. We favour a small crew, without bulky lighting or props, and we check the access rules in advance with the site managers if the shoot goes beyond simply filming on a smartphone.

Yes, it is in fact a good time for a fashion, beauty or design brand. The festival takes place in October and free shuttles link place Clemenceau to the villa during the main events. We prepare the interviews and shots in advance, then publish short content during the show days, when attention is at its peak.

A creative ads agency designs video ads built for social platforms: tested hooks, native 9:16 formats and data-driven iterations. At Esekai, every creative ad is produced in-house in Paris (script, shoot, edit), then adapted for TikTok Ads and Meta Ads to lower your acquisition costs.

Creative ads are structured advertising for paid media (TikTok Ads, Meta Ads). UGC videos mirror authentic creator content to build trust and convert. Organic content builds your social presence over the long term. The three are complementary.

We work on a six-month minimum. A video content strategy performs best over time: the first six months let us test, refine and optimise for durable, compounding results.
