In Cergy, a 36-metre tower, twelve white columns and a red footbridge thrown across the Oise make up a film set that few towns in Île-de-France can offer. The commune had 70,906 residents in 2023 according to Insee, and its population grew by 1.4% a year between 2017 and 2023, mostly thanks to births: a young, family and student audience, the one most TikTok and Meta campaigns aim for. Esekai has no office here; we leave rue du Colisée with our equipment to film your creative ads, UGC videos and TikTok content on location.
See our workA young town that grows through births
Insee's data paint a commune apart. Between 2017 and 2023, Cergy gained 1.4% in residents a year, and it is natural change (1.6% a year) that drives this increase, while departures slightly outnumber arrivals. In 2025, the civil registry recorded 1,229 births to families living in Cergy, against 304 deaths. With 6,086 inhabitants per km² in 2023 and 29,096 households, the town is dense and compact. For a brand, this draws two clear targets: young parents who compare everything on their phones, and students who discover the town every September. The median standard of living, €22,560 in 2023, also invites a down-to-earth approach. Here, a UGC video that shows the product in real use, in a kitchen or a residence hall, convinces better than a polished catalogue image.
Préfecture, ESSEC and La Turbine: who employs in Cergy
The commune had 36,159 jobs in 2023 and 2,079 employer establishments at the end of 2024, 73.1% of them in trade, transport and services, according to Insee. With the Val-d'Oise préfecture, CY Cergy Paris Université and the ESSEC campus, administration, education and health account for 14.9% of establishments. The urban community, where 13.5% of employment is in industry, presents itself as a "bastion of industrial intelligence" and has opened La Turbine, a 5,000 m² incubator, nursery and business hotel. These profiles call for different videos. A school or a public service films its work-study students and staff for a short series on Instagram. A start-up at La Turbine needs a 30-second product demo, adapted for LinkedIn and Meta ads. An industrial firm in the area shows its workshop and gives a technician the floor, to speak to buyers as well as candidates.
3 Fontaines, the port and the sand of the Île de loisirs
The 3 Fontaines shopping centre, renovated and extended by Hammerson, covers 100,000 m² with 230 shops, 14 restaurants and 3,700 parking spaces, including a 72-shop extension opened on 30 March 2022. A retailer opening in the gallery can shoot a try-on in UGC format there, or a launch Reel filmed on opening day. At Port Cergy, the basin and its moored boats provide a backdrop for the restaurants along the quays: that is where you film the dish arriving on the terrace, the evening menu, the service at the end of the day. The Cergy-Pontoise Île de loisirs spreads over 250 hectares a fine-sand beach resort opened in 1977, an artificial surf wave, a cable wakeboard and a whitewater stadium, according to the urban community's magazine (2026). A sports or drinks brand finds its best TikTok images there in June and July.
From the Belvédère tower to the Préfecture forecourt, through the seasons
Dani Karavan's Axe majeur unfolds its twelve stations over 3.2 kilometres, from place Hubert-Renaud to the Île de loisirs, where the Pyramid and the Astronomical Island form the last stations. The Belvédère tower, the first station built in 1986, and the Esplanade de Paris with its columns give very graphic wide shots for a fashion or automotive campaign, while the monumental staircase suits sport and running sequences. The calendar matters too. Cergy, Soit!, the street arts and circus festival, held its 27th edition from 12 to 21 September 2025 with more than 40 companies and entirely free performances, including a final weekend in the Grand Centre (parc François-Mitterrand, the Préfecture forecourt, place des Arts). September therefore brings crowds, returning students and entertainment: perfect for atmosphere content, less so for a clean product shot. For the latter, a weekday morning outside the holidays is better.
From the RER A to the Port Cergy basin in a day
The RER A serves Cergy-Préfecture, Cergy-Saint-Christophe and its terminus at Cergy-le-Haut directly, which lets us travel light, or by car when lamps need to be loaded. Beforehand, we validate messages, hooks and creator profiles with you. We cast Île-de-France UGC creators, often students or young parents, who look like your customers. Permissions are prepared in advance: shopping centre management for the gallery, the Île de loisirs operator, the town hall for public space. On the day itself, the morning is spent at your site, Grand Centre offices or a workshop in a business park, with interviews and product shots. The afternoon goes outdoors, on the Axe majeur or at the port, for UGC sequences and cutaway shots. For each video, you get several different openings to pit against each other in advertising.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
