Claude Monet painted 259 canvases in Argenteuil, 156 of them devoted to the town itself: few communes were framed as often before the arrival of cinema. Argenteuil had 106,130 inhabitants in 2023 according to Insee, and it can be reached from our offices in the 8th arrondissement on a short train line, with no hotel night needed. We film creative ads for TikTok and Meta, UGC and Reels there, moving in a single day from a neighbourhood market to the workshops of a business park.

The Maison Impressionniste points out that Monet settled in Argenteuil in 1871, on his return from London, then lived from 1874 to 1878 in the “pink house with green shutters”, the one that now welcomes visitors to the Maison Impressionniste. For a home décor, stationery or fashion brand, this past gives a ready-made narrative thread: take up the framing of a painting, place the product on the same axis, then bring up today's image. On TikTok, this before-and-after format holds attention from the very first second, because the viewer looks for the difference. The parc des Berges de Seine offers a more contemporary setting, with its lawns facing the river. A drinks or ice-cream brand finds there shots of lawn, water and families that require no set-building.
A town of families and commuters
Insee's figures describe two very distinct audiences. In 2023, 20.7% of inhabitants are under 15, which makes parents an obvious target for childcare, food or tutoring brands. And among the working people who live in Argenteuil, 77.8% work in another commune: the town empties in the morning and fills up in the evening, when screens light up on the train home. For these two audiences, we don't shoot the same thing. For parents, we show a kitchen scene or a school pick-up, shot in a real household, with a calm, subtitled UGC testimonial. For commuters, we offer a short hook that reads without sound, designed for a journey of a few minutes. Both versions can come out of the same shooting day.
Givaudan, Kubota Europe and the hospital
The town divides its economic territory into three parks: the Val d'Argent over 130 hectares, the Berges de Seine and Paris-Saint-Germain over 55, and the Gare sector over 16. At the top of its list of employers is the Centre hospitalier d'Argenteuil, followed by Givaudan, a specialist in fragrances and flavours; Keolis and Kubota Europe, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery, also appear in this ranking. The town also cites aeronautics manufacturers such as Elno and Etna Industrie. Each calls for a different format. A hospital recruiting nurses benefits from showing a real team during a shift handover, in thirty seconds. For a perfumer, the challenge is filming a smell: we then work on gestures, raw materials in close-up and the words of an evaluator. An agricultural equipment manufacturer speaks to dealers, so it's B2B: product demonstration, engineer interview, versions for LinkedIn.
Six markets, eleven sessions, more than a thousand shops
Argenteuil has more than 1,000 shops and six markets totalling eleven sessions a week, according to the town. The Héloïse market is held on boulevard Héloïse on Friday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Joliot-Curie market three mornings a week, and the Val-d'Argent-Nord market on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Insee's facilities database lists, in 2025, 78 bakery-pâtisseries and 105 hair salons in the commune. These local shops live on neighbourhood word of mouth, and a video filmed in front of the counter, with the manager presenting their speciality, circulates in the same circles. For a bakery, the shot that works is often the batch coming out of the oven at dawn. For a hair salon, it is the complete transformation of a client, sped up, with a to-camera piece at the end. 2,690 businesses were created in the commune in 2025: that many launches in need of a first video.
Organising the day between the station and boulevard Héloïse
The journey from our offices remains short: Argenteuil station is served from Saint-Lazare, and we travel with a light kit, camera, lavalier mics and two lights. Preparation is done beforehand, by video call: script, hooks to test, shot list, search for Val-d'Oise creators if the video targets a local audience. A market closes at 1 p.m., so we shoot there first, as soon as the stalls are set up. The afternoon is spent in a company or a shop, for interviews and demonstrations. The end of the day is kept for the Seine, when the light drops over the riverbanks. If a scene takes up the public highway with equipment, the permit request goes to the town hall in advance. Each set of rushes is then edited into several versions for Meta and TikTok tests.
Why creative ads deliver better results
An ad that looks like an ad gets skipped in a second. A creative ad works on the hook, the message and the format so it is watched to the end, then tested and adapted for as long as it converts.
