How much does a TikTok Ads video cost in 2026: the quote, line by line

The real price of a TikTok ad video in France: production, paid usage rights, media and cost per winning creative, with dated, sourced ranges.

By Founder and CEO of Esekai, Paris

In France in 2026, a TikTok Ads video costs between €150 and €1,200 excl. VAT in production depending on the format: €150 to €400 for a UGC video shot by a creator, €400 to €800 for a scripted studio creative, €800 to €1,200 with an actor and variants. On top of that come paid usage rights (+30 to 100%) and the media budget, billed separately at a €5 to €13 CPM. Three distinct invoices, often mixed together in a single quote, and that is exactly where budgets go off the rails. According to the 35th SRI e-advertising Observatory, in 2025 Social became the leading growth driver of digital advertising in France, up 15% to €4.18 billion and 34% of the market, driven by the rise of video.

How much does a single TikTok Ads video cost in 2026?

A TikTok Ads video is produced for €150 to €1,200 excl. VAT in France, and the price depends on just four variables: who shoots, how many shots, how many variants, and for how long you buy the rights. Everything else, the brief, the “concept”, the “strategy”, feeds into these four lines.

Here are the four tiers we charge and see charged on the French market. These rates sit within a French digital advertising market whose revenue reached €12.44 billion in 2025, up 11% after +16% in 2024, according to the e-advertising Observatory relayed by The Media Leader in February 2026.

  • Tier 1, raw UGC, €150 to €400 excl. VAT. A creator shoots at home on a phone, light editing, subtitles. On the French market, UGC videos commonly sell for between €75 and €400, a range we see in our own tenders and creator quotes; below €150, you get a file, rarely an ad creative.
  • Tier 2, managed UGC, €300 to €600 excl. VAT. Same shoot, but with a written script, a tested hook, two or three edits delivered, and retakes provided for in the contract. This is the tier that feeds 70% of the e-commerce ad accounts we come across.
  • Tier 3, faceless studio creative, €400 to €800 excl. VAT. Product, hands, motion design, voice-over. No creator to pay, so no image rights to renew. The main cost item becomes the edit.
  • Tier 4, directed shoot with an actor, €800 to €1,200 excl. VAT, and up to €2,500 on a multi-product set. Actor direction, lighting, several sets, variants included.

What tips you from one tier to the next is almost never image quality. It's the number of people on the shoot. A creator alone at home: one role. An actor + a camera operator + a creative director: four billable half-days. The jump from €400 to €1,000 is explained there, not by the sensor spec.

A point we repeat in meetings: the unit price of a video only makes sense in relation to the batch. Nobody orders a single TikTok Ads video. You order a batch, and the unit price drops by 20 to 35% between an order of 2 videos and an order of 10, because the brief, casting and setup are shared.

What is the price of an ad on TikTok: production, rights, media, who pays for what?

A TikTok ad is paid for on three separate invoices: producing the file, the paid usage rights, and the media in TikTok Ads Manager. Most French guides put a figure on only one (the media) and mention rights in a word. It's the line item that makes a quote double.

A real quote, line by line

Take a case we handle every month: a DNVB food supplements brand, one product, conversion objective, first quarter of testing on TikTok.

  • 8 managed UGC creatives, 4 creators × 2 concepts: 8 × €380 = €3,040 excl. VAT
  • Paid usage rights, 6 months, France, TikTok + Meta: +40% = €1,216 excl. VAT
  • 16 hook variants on existing video bodies: 16 × €60 = €960 excl. VAT
  • Subtitles, 15 s / 30 s versions, 4:5 adaptation: included
  • Media buying and creative decision-making: €900 excl. VAT / month

Creative bill for the quarter: €5,216 excl. VAT for 24 runnable assets. The media sits alongside, and it can't be compared: €4,000 or €40,000 changes the number of tests, not the price of the file. If you have two quotes in hand and they don't break down these lines in the same way, our 4-step method for comparing two video production quotes puts them on the same footing.

A light vertical shoot setup: it's the number of people on set, not the equipment, that takes a video from €400 to €1,000.

Why does a video's price mean nothing without the cost per winning creative?

The price that matters isn't the price of the video, it's the cost of the one that scales: (batch cost + rights + iterations) ÷ number of creatives that pass the scale threshold. On a batch of 8, one or two pass. That's the market norm, not an accident.

With the quote above, €5,216 excl. VAT for 24 assets, if 2 creatives pass the scale threshold, the cost per winning creative is €2,608. If 4 pass, it falls to €1,304. The unit price hasn't moved by a single euro.

This arithmetic overturns most buying decisions. A studio at €250 a video with a success rate of 1 in 12 costs more than a studio at €500 with 1 in 5. We've seen brands switch provider to save 40% on the unit price and double their cost per winning creative within a quarter.

What we don't know, and need to say: that rate depends on the product as much as on the provider. On a product with a strong visual demonstration, textured cosmetics, a gadget, food, we see markedly higher rates than on an abstract service, where it sometimes takes three batches to find the angle. No studio can guarantee you a rate in advance. It can, however, show you its own on comparable accounts. The detail of the calculation, with the scale threshold and the measurement traps, is covered in how a cost per winning creative is calculated.

The second variable nobody prices: lifespan. A TikTok creative fatigues. On our French e-commerce campaigns, most winning creatives last a few weeks of sustained delivery before CPA climbs back up, and some wear out in ten days on narrow audiences. A creative that costs €500 and lasts six weeks costs less per day of delivery than a €200 creative that dies after eight days.

Measuring your creatives' lifespan to set your production cadence

A creative's lifespan is measured account by account, because it sets your production rhythm. We track it creative by creative, never at campaign level, where a video that is running out of steam stays masked by another that is just starting.

  • CPA per creative, compared with the ceiling set before launch.
  • CPM trend over a rolling window. A continuous rise, with constant targeting, signals a saturated audience.
  • Exposure frequency. When the same people see the video too often, CTR drops and the cost per click rises without the budget having changed.
  • The 6-second view rate. If it falls on a creative that was holding up, it's the hook wearing out: a new hook variant is often enough, with no re-shoot.

For each winner, note the number of days of delivery before its CPA exceeds the ceiling. After a few batches, you get an average lifespan specific to your product and your audience. Relate it to your delivery period: you know how many new winners you need and, with your success rate, how many creatives to order. We run a weekly review of creative metrics and a monthly review of budget allocation.

What is the price of TikTok videos by format: UGC, Spark Ads, studio, influencer?

The cheapest format per piece is generative AI (€20 to €150), the cheapest per winning creative is almost always managed UGC in batches (€250 to €500 a video), and by far the most expensive is the influencer (€300 to over €5,000 a post, excluding whitelisting). Here is the full grid.

The price columns reflect the ranges observed on the French market in 2026 (our own tenders and creator quotes for UGC, our rate cards for studio). The “cost per winning creative” column is an estimate drawn from our campaigns, not a published figure: treat it as an order of magnitude for decision-making, not as a benchmark.

Two lines deserve a word. The UGC video rate hides five costs that almost never appear on the first quote: free product, shipping, retakes, exclusivity, renewal of usage rights; they are detailed in the detailed UGC creator rate card and its 5 hidden costs. And on the TikTok influencer ad price, the confusion is structural: you aren't buying the same thing. The difference between a UGC creator and an influencer is first of all contractual: one sells a file and rights, the other sells an audience and a post on their account. TikTok influencer rate calculators circulate in France: useful for framing a negotiation, useless for budgeting an ad creative.

How much does running ads cost: what CPM, CPC and CPA should you expect in France in 2026?

The available benchmarks put CPM at roughly €4 to €13 and CPC at €0.20 to €0.80: estimates, mostly converted from dollars. Cost per acquisition varies widely by sector: on our campaigns, we see orders of magnitude ranging from about €18 in beauty to €55 in home décor. These figures are the price of attention, not the price of a customer.

Watch the currency. Almost all the benchmarks recycled by French guides are American, denominated in dollars, on American audiences. On 9 March 2026, Lebesgue.io gave an average e-commerce CPM of $4.80, or about €4.40 at the current rate, with a CTR of 0.61% and a conversion rate of 1.92%. On 17 July 2026, Admanage.ai put the 2026 range at $4 to $13 CPM and $0.30 to $1.50 CPC. On the French side, adintime.com recorded on 17 June 2026 a CPC of €0.20 to €0.80, against €0.50 to €2 on Meta, and set an alert threshold at a €10 CPM: beyond that, the targeting is too narrow.

The reading trap, the one no page on Google's first page picks up: a falling CPM isn't good news in itself. Several 2025 benchmarks converge: CPM and CTR up, conversion rate and ROAS slightly down, a trend to check directly on your own accounts. The overall e-commerce CPA rose to $32.74 from $30.14 in 2024 according to the Triple Whale benchmark cited by admanage.ai. In operational terms: more clicks, fewer purchases. You pay less for attention and more for the customer.

Our full sector ranges, CPM, CPC and ROAS by vertical in France, are in our CPM, CPC and ROAS benchmarks by sector in France. One reference point to keep in mind here: on In-Feed, adintime.com set a healthy e-commerce CTR in June 2026 at between 1.5 and 3% and a target 6-second view rate above 25%. Both these metrics depend almost entirely on the creative, not on the media buying.

What pushes up the real cost of delivery, outside the auction

CPM is set at auction, but a good part of the cost gap between two accounts is decided before the first impression. Here are the structural mistakes we find on the accounts we take over.

  • Recycling a Meta or YouTube ad. A horizontal video cropped to 9:16 is not a TikTok video: text outside the reading area, pacing too slow, advertising codes too visible. The audience drops off in the first seconds and delivery degrades.
  • Restricting targeting from launch. On TikTok, broad audiences let the algorithm find the buyers. Stacking criteria during the test phase throttles distribution and pushes CPM up.
  • Sending traffic to a page designed for desktop. A decent CTR followed by a high CPA often points to the landing page, not the creative or the bid: slow loading, a long form, an offer invisible without scrolling.
  • Launching without reliable conversion events. Without a properly configured pixel or event feed, the algorithm optimises on incomplete signals and you're steering blind. Check that purchases are coming through before spending the first euro.
  • Unbalancing production and media. An expensive video run on too thin a budget will never be evaluated. Conversely, putting everything into media on a single creative makes it impossible to know whether the result comes from the content or the targeting.

What minimum budget do you really need to launch a TikTok Ads campaign?

The platform's technical minimum is about $50 a day at campaign level, and about $20 a day at ad group level, not the €500 most French guides still repeat; the useful statistical minimum sits between €1,000 and €1,500 per creative test. Two different notions, two different figures. The TikTok for Business help centre states that, at campaign level, both daily budgets and total budgets must exceed 50 USD.

On 17 July 2026, Admanage.ai noted that the real entry threshold on TikTok Ads Manager is around $50 per campaign, and that the “$500 minimum TikTok Ads budget” that has circulated for years is a relic. So the figure is low. It simply means nothing.

What matters is the volume of signal needed for the algorithm to get out of its learning phase and for you to be able to decide between two creatives. On our French campaigns, an ad group becomes readable at around 40 to 50 conversions; below that, you're interpreting noise. With a cost per acquisition of €25, an order of magnitude observed on our campaigns and higher than the beauty benchmark (≈ €18) cited above, you therefore need in the region of €1,000 to €1,250 to draw a conclusion from a test. Divided by 4 creatives, that makes €250 to €300 of media per creative before you know which one deserves to be scaled.

Mind the attribution window too: on 20 April 2026, digitalapplied.com reminded readers that TikTok applies 7 days post-click and 1 day post-view by default. Cutting a creative after 48 hours is deciding before the data exists. We see this mistake at least once per audit.

As for the question of the overall monthly budget, how much to allocate to media, production and management over a quarter, we've covered it separately in what a TikTok video campaign really costs. Here, the unit remains the video.

Building the budget backwards from your objective

The statistical minimum tells you how much you need to spend to conclude a test. It doesn't tell you how much you need to reach your commercial objective. For that, we start from the target result and work back up to the budget, never the other way round. Starting from an available envelope and hoping the results will follow remains the method we see most often in audits, and the least reliable.

  1. Set a measurable objective. A number of sales or leads over a given period, not “visibility”.
  2. Set the acceptable CPA. It's derived from your margin or average basket, not from a Meta benchmark or a sector average. It's the ceiling beyond which a sale costs you money.
  3. Convert the objective into clicks. Divide the target number of conversions by the real conversion rate of your product page on mobile. If you don't know it, measure it before launching.
  4. Convert clicks into impressions, then into media budget. Divide by the expected CTR, then apply your sector's CPM.
  5. Compare with the statistical floor. If the budget you get is below the readability threshold seen above, the floor applies: the algorithm doesn't read your objective, it reads the volume of signal.
  6. Add production. Several variants per angle tested, costed as in the line-by-line quote.

One last point: separate the test budget from the scale budget. The first is for validating a creative and an angle, not for generating revenue. Write down the scale-up criteria before launch (CPA below the ceiling, sufficient conversion volume, 6-second view rate maintained), then inject the scale budget only into the creatives that meet them, without touching the validated content.

How can you lower the cost of a TikTok Ads video without hurting performance?

Six levers let you, in our accounts, noticeably reduce the unit cost without touching image quality, the scale depending on the volume ordered: order by the batch, mix and match hook/body/CTA, reuse organic content, switch to Spark Ads, set rights at 3 renewable months, and deliver versions instead of re-shooting. None of them consists in haggling the provider's rate down.

1. Order by the batch, never by the unit

The brief, casting, legal validation and setup are fixed costs. Spreading them over 8 videos instead of 2 lowers the unit price by 20 to 35%. It's the simplest lever and the one most ignored by brands buying “one video to test”.

2. Break the video down into hook / body / CTA

A creative isn't a block. It's three bricks. A new hook on an existing body costs us a fraction of the price of a full shoot; count on a ratio of 1 to 5 between a hook iteration and a re-shoot. Since most of retention is decided in the first three seconds, as we see on our campaigns, that's where the money should go. The hook, the cheapest item to iterate, deserves a dedicated budget, not a “touch-ups” line.

3. Reuse what already exists

Your organic videos that performed well are pre-tested ad creatives, and free ones. On the question of “promoting a TikTok video for free”: what is really free is production when the content exists and rights when you own the account. Delivery, however, is never free. The “Promote” button in the app is not free: it's a simplified media purchase, less controllable than TikTok Ads Manager, to be avoided whenever you're after conversions. TikTok's “About Spark Ads” page, updated in June 2026, states that the views, comments, shares, likes and follows gained while a video is promoted as a Spark Ad are attributed to the original organic post.

4. Go through Spark Ads rather than a new production

A Spark Ads authorisation code on a creator video that's already doing well organically costs the price of the negotiation, sometimes nothing at all if the partnership provides for it. You keep the comments, the likes, the posting account. The format often performs better than the same video re-uploaded as a standard In-Feed ad, because the social proof stays attached. According to the Spark Ads 101 guide published by TikTok for Business, Spark Ads show a completion rate 134% higher and a 6-second view rate 157% higher than standard In-Feed ads.

5. Set rights at 3 renewable months

Buying 12 months of usage rights on 8 videos, 6 of which will be cut after three weeks, is paying for dead stock. We systematically negotiate 3 months with an option to extend at the same pro-rata rate. On a batch of 8, the saving is in the order of €400 to €900, with nothing lost, since you only extend the winners. The honest flip side: some creators refuse, or overcharge for the option. To be weighed case by case.

6. Ask for versions, not shoots

9:16 and 4:5 versions, 15 s / 30 s cuts, burned-in subtitles, CTA variants, language adaptations. These deliverables are made in the edit. Demand them in the initial quote; billed after the fact, they become “extra work” and cost three times as much.

Three received ideas to bin

  • “One good video is enough.” The format wears out. What you're buying is a variant factory, not a masterpiece.
  • “UGC is cheaper, so it's better.” Cheaper per piece. Not necessarily per winning creative, especially on a product that needs a precise demonstration.
  • “CPM is the price of advertising.” CPM is the price of attention. The price of the customer is the cost per acquisition, and it depends on the creative and the product page far more than on the bid.

One question remains that we don't like to settle too quickly: raw volume. Some brands ask us for 30 creatives a month because they've read that you need “volume”. On an account spending €5,000 on media, 30 creatives will never get enough impressions to be evaluated. The right output is set by the media budget, not by a best practice read on LinkedIn.

If you have to remember just one thing about how much a TikTok Ads video costs: the most dangerous line on a quote isn't the unit price, it's the one that isn't on it. Usage rights, variants, the permitted delivery period. Ask your provider to quote the cost of one hook iteration before you sign. Those who can answer in thirty seconds already work like a creative factory. The others will sell you a film.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to buy 10,000 followers on TikTok?
Between €50 and €300 from resellers, for a result with no advertising value whatsoever: inactive accounts, collapsed engagement rate, risk of a penalty from the platform. It has absolutely no effect on the cost of your ads, which depends on the auction and the quality of the creative, not on your follower count.
How much do you earn with 1,000 followers on TikTok?
Almost nothing in direct monetisation: 1,000 followers don't unlock the serious payment programmes. For a brand, the value of a 1,000-follower account isn't creator revenue but its ability to serve as the posting account for Spark Ads, with social proof attached to the ad.
Is TikTok Ads cheaper than Instagram Ads?
On the click, yes: in June 2026, adintime.com recorded a CPC of €0.20 to €0.80 on TikTok against €0.50 to €2 on Meta. On cost per acquisition, the gap often narrows, because TikTok traffic converts less well. Compare CPAs, not CPCs or the advertised prices of Instagram Ads.
How many videos a month do you need to feed a campaign?
The output is set by the media budget, not by a norm. Below €5,000 of monthly spend, 4 to 8 creatives a month are enough to feed the tests. Above €20,000, you need 15 to 25 assets, counting hook variants, otherwise you scale the same videos for too long.
Are usage rights included in the price of a UGC video?
Rarely. A UGC rate of €200 to €400 generally covers production and organic use. Paid distribution, whitelisting and territory are charged on top: +30 to 100% of the production price depending on duration. Check the duration, the platforms and the exclusivity clause before signing.
What does the “TikTok Ads 50%” offer or advertising credits mean?
These are promotional media credit offers: TikTok tops up your spend on the TikTok Business account, often at account opening or via a partner. Nothing to do with a discount on video production: your creative bill stays the same. Read the minimum spend conditions before building a budget on them.
How does a TikTok Ads agency charge for managing campaigns?
Three models coexist: a fixed monthly fee for pure management, with production billed on top; a commission on the media budget delivered; a package that bundles creative production and management. Before signing, ask whether the creatives, hook iterations and paid rights are included, and who makes the decisions on the tests, so you don't pay twice for the same work.
How do you justify a TikTok Ads budget to a finance director?
Start from a numerical objective in sales or leads and work back to the budget via the acceptable CPA, the page's conversion rate and the CPM. Present two separate lines, production and media, a test limited in duration and amount, and go/no-go criteria written before launch. An overall request with no decision mechanism rarely gets through.
